A Special Lunch

Today was a special day- we ate macaroni and cheese for lunch. Why was it so special? because it was made by LANCE! That's right, he made us all lunch. and it was delicious.

Darce Party!

Stacy Zientarski has this new, cool, company called Darce.  It is basically a house party where she brings in all these cool, reasonable priced, fashionable purses and sunglasses and sets them up.  People can browse through and buy something if they like it.  I had some of my mom's group over and made blueberry martinis!  Special thanks to Megan and Hannah for watching all the kids who came in the basement.  The moms who couldn't find sitters really appreciated it!  Plus, you ladies look great in your new purse and sunglasses!  We all had a great time, and the boys and I got some new shades!  Check them out- they both think they are hot stuff...

Stoney Creek Metropark

My mom's group does a thing during the summer called "playground of the week", and this week was at stoney creek.  We had a good time playing, then Megan and I decided to go for a bike ride.  I towed the kids in the trailer.  It was all downhill from there, or maybe uphill is more appropriate!  I got a flat tire, so we stopped at the beach and filled it up.  Then we got about half way around the 6 mile trail (it seemed like it was all uphill) and the sky turned pitch black, and the thunder was right on top of us.  We turned around and got caught in the rain just before we made it to the beach again.  My tire was flat again, but we waited out the storm, then high-tailed it back to winter cove where our car was.  On the way home, Megan and I decided that no matter how miserable we were at the moment, we would laugh about it later.  Are you laughing yet, Megan???

On your graduation! Today was Megan's graduation party, and we had a great time! We love Megan, and are excited to support her as she goes to Macomb Community College in the fall. We are especially excited that she will be staying home and we can help her with her homework! Yeah Megan!

Story time at Borders

Uncle Moose joined us at story time today.  It was a special story time, The Painted Pot was there, and we pained out own ceramic animals!  Lance painted a hippo, and Roman painted the penguin, then they both painted a moose!  The company will take the animals back to their shop to glaze and fire them.  We will pick them up from Borders soon.  Can't wait!

Strawberries!!!

Hannah, Megan and I took the boys strawberry picking at Blakes. We got a TON. Lance loved picking them and eating them, Roman enjoyed dumping my basket and sticking his fingers through the strawberries. Then they ran through the dirt fields for awhile before heading back. Check out those beautiful strawberries!

Happy Father's Day!

Today was Todd's day, and he decided to start a new tradition- a "Father's Day Project". So, every year, the boys and todd will work on a project. He decided to start this year out with a biggie... a giant sandbox!!

(I was going to wait until it was finished to post these, but that may never happen! LOL!

It was another fun Thursday afternoon at Comerica park for the Codys, Uncle Moose and Grandma Claudia. The Tigers took on the division leading White Sox. Kenny Rogers lead a great pitching duel that was won on a Miguel Cabrera solo walk off homer!

The stone Tigers greeted us at the gates. It was a warm sunny day!

Our Friend Meagan's Birthday- PF Chang's and Bar Louie

Adam set up a surprise dinner for Meagan on her 29th birthday at PF Changs.  Dinner was great, then Moose and Kris joined us and we headed to Bar Louie and kept the Vanovers out WAY past their bedtime.  Adam was so tired I think he tried to hit on Todd (see photographic evidence below).  Seriously, we had a great time, and I only posted the clean pictures- those Vanovers are crazy!!!

Today we had a blast in the tub- Megan joined us and helped blow bubbles... everything is more fun with bubbles!
