We had a great Halloween!  The weather was beautiful (even by Arizona standards- Vickie!! :)) And the boys enjoyed trick or treating.  Uncle Moose bought some Schlitz beer and handed it out to the adults on the street.  Heh!  Lance got the great idea of pushing his hummer truck door-to-door instead of carrying a bag, and Roman HAD to carry his own bucket.  That's the bit of his mommy in him!  The Road runner and Coyote were in rare form!

Picking out the winning pumpkins

Lance and Roman both "won" pumpkins again this year in Ninos Pumpkin coloring Contest!  We went to pick out the winning ones, and had a blast.  It was cold, but they picked pumpkins pretty quickly and were very pleased with their selections!

Preschool Party

Lance had a halloween party at his preschool.  He was all dressed as the Road Runner, and he stood on a stage and told all the parents that he was the Road runner and that he was going to go trick or treating with his brother, Roman, who was going to be the coyote.  They went trick or treating through the high school and brought home a ton of candy!  Here is a picture of him with his teacher, Ms Kretz!

Pumpkin Carving!

I did the scooping and Daddy helped the boys carve.  Lance got a train of his named "Rusty" and wanted that face on his pumpkin, and Roman picked out a dinosaur from his favorite book "Dinosaur Roar" .  We took some pics of the winning colored pumpkins too!

Cookies for Lance's Halloween party

Lance and I made cookies for his preschool class for the halloween party.  We had a great time decorating (Megan B helped too!).  It was the first time I did something for Lance's school, so I wanted to make it special.  It was a lot of work, but it was worth it!

Reverse Trick or Treating

Today the kids and I went with our friends Jessie and Kaylee, Arzu, Ethan and Lizzy, and Angie and Anthony and the baby (forgot his name) to a nursing home.  There were a few others there too whom I didn't know.  Reverse trick or treating is where we go door to door, but instead of getting candy, the kids give it away to the residents.  The kids had a good time, and the residents enjoyed having the kids come through.  Thanks for putting this all together Jessie!

Vanover Halloween Party

Meagan and Adam Vanover are our friends through the mom's group.  They host an awesome halloween party every year, and a lot of the moms were there.  Even Moose dressed up like a "Macomb Mom".  The ice luge was a fun twist too!

Roman Sleeping

Roman needs some more practice sleeping in the big bed.  I don't know how this can be comfortable!

Caramel Apple Making!

After picking those great apples from Blake's, we decide to make caramel apples! Todd was out of town, but Megan was over and we all had a great time. The caramel was gooey, and lots of fun to eat!

The kindness of neighbors...

Out Neighbors, the Mousseaus, gave us their giant wooden playset!  We spent a few days disassembling it and moving it to our yard, but we took out time and had fun doing it.  We couldn't have done it without the help of our good friends Moose and Megan.  The boys are thrilled with it, and so are we.  We have such AWESOME friends and neighbors!

Blakes Cider Mill

Today the boys and I took Grandma Claudia to Blakes.   We picked apples, peppers, raspberries, and tomatoes.  We rode a train, fed some farm animals, climbed a straw mountain and raced in the tricycle 500.  I think Lance's favorite part of the day was when we went inside to eat donuts and drink cider.  He wasn't nearly as interested in the food as he was the cider-making equipment.  We couldn't drag him away!
