Christmas With the Holmans

Another wonderful Christmas celebration! And delicious cornish hens for dinner!

Trains...

Do you think Lance got enough train stuff for Christmas? It fills the whole laminate area of our basement! He can spend HOURS down there playing. He loves his trains.

Christmas Eve Eve with the Michalskis

We had an excellent Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Michalski. Dziadzia and Bucia were there, as was Uncle Moose. Lance STILL won't stop playing with his quarry loader from the Thomas series! Grandma cooked an excellent pork roast, and we all dined like kings! Grandpa's Chocolate peanut butter pie was a big hit as well!

Lance enjoyed helping dziadzia open his presents!

Christmas Eve Eve Eve With the Pierantonis

Grandpa and Grandma P. celebrated Christmas with us today! They gave the boys a great tunnels and tents set. It's set up in our basement and they won't stop crawling through it! It also encourages them to play together, and no worries about lead! Such a great gift!

More Teeth

Today I noticed Roman's top middle teeth poked through. Both today. The other incisor is right at the verge. It should poke through tomorrow.

He is also turning into quite the walker. He can stand up unassisted in the middle of the room, and walk across the room and down the hall. He even throws in some direction changes. He still has the hands above his head and looks like he's had a few too many, but he is moving like a champ! I got some video, and I will post it when I get a chance.

Decorating Christmas Cookies!

Today we decided to decorate cookies! Todd and Lance did a great job. Lance was really into the sprinkles. I had to take a profile picture of his cookie to show the true magnitude of the pile that was Lance's cookie sprinkles!

Blinds are Scary

So, after a momentary lapse of reason on Mine and Todd's part, we finally realized that the way to get Lance back in his bed at night was to remove the scary item- The Blinds. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. One day I was talking about Lance's fears in his room at work and said that Lance says the blinds are scary. One guy at work said (in a very matter-of-fact way), "sounds like there's a little guy who needs some curtains". Of course. How could I be so dumb? That night, the blinds came down, and we talked of the material he would pick out for his new curtains that Grandma Claudia was going to make for him. He immediately brightened up and slept in his bed that night. Boy, do I feel silly. Once we get the curtains made, we'll post some pictures.

Lance trim Christmas tree- 2007

Not sure why the quality came out so poor- I need to find a new setting. I hope you get the idea of how excited Lance was to put ornaments on our tree this year! Soon I will take a few pictures of the tree with all of us around and post it. Maybe once we get a few presents underneath it!

Lance big wave

Not a great quality video, but I thought this was a great wave to the camera!

Roman Steps

I FINALLY got some video of Roman taking a few steps. It's only a couple, and it took me awhile to get, but here it is.

O Christmas Tree

Today we went to pick out a Christmas tree! We went to Blake's Orchard. It took us awhile, but we finally found the perfect one. Todd and Lance cut it down and pulled it back to the hayride area on a special cart. Then back to the general store for hot cider and donuts. We had a great time. The weather was chilly, but not too cold thanks to the sunshine and lack of wind.

Charlie Brown- I mean Lance- loved this tree. He wanted to take it home
