Tons O' Trucks and Wheeled Wonders

Today we went to an event at Dakota High School.  A bunch of heavy equipment trucks and fire and police vehicles were there to climb through.  There was even a train to ride on!  The Seigs and Uncle Moose  came with us, and we had a blast.  Aiden and Lance ran around climbing through everything, but the truly excited one was Roman!  He is SERIOUSLY a fan of these big machines!

Thunderstorms...

Here's Lance, our party animal, passed out on the couch.  We made noises like thunder and lightning and drank a special "thunderstorm drink" (sparkling lemonade) out of champagne glasses.  It was a blast- as you can see.  He's still holding the glass upright too, even though he's fast asleep.  I think I've seen his dad do this a time or two before with a beer can!  Ha Ha!

Tigers Game with Uncle Moose and Auntie Stacy

What a beautiful day for a game!  We headed down to the ballpark with Auntie Stacy and Uncle Moose, and even met up with Auntie Sara there!  The kids got there early enough for the giveaway- a Placido Polanco Golden Glove- for each of them!  It was a regular sized kids glove, too!  Nice!  Then after the game we ran the bases, then hit the carousel for a quick spin.  Such a great day!  Both kids were passed out in the car before we even got out of the parking lot!

It's also Grandma Pat's Birthday today- we were thinking of you!

Heading onto the field

Roman got distracted by PAWS!
Eatin' animal crackers...
...and a hot dog
It was good.
Lance went the "no bun" route
The line for running the bases was long, but it moved quickly- and it was worth it!

The Trouble Begins...

Today we switched around the sleeping arrangements in the Cody house.  Lance had been asking for Roman to sleep in his room for quite some time.  So, we decided to give it a whirl.  It went wonderfully.  The boys are thrilled to have their bedroom and their playroom.  The Playroom is still a mess, since we just piled ll the toys in there, but after some organizing effort it should be quite nice.
Can you find Roman in this picture?

The Detroit Zoo with the Greens and Uncle Moose

Boy, the zoo was seriously crowded today! It took forever to get us in, but then it was a great time. Uncle Moose, Lance Roman and I met Jill and Katie and Graham. We took our time and had fun. The most active animal were the bears. It was nice to see the Hippo back, and the train running! One train was broken, so we had to wait about a half an hour. It would have been longer but they were letting people on the train without strollers, so the kids and I hopped on the train and Uncle Moose walked the wagon back to the front. What a great Uncle Moose!

Mom and Dad in Vegas

Dad and Mom broke away for a quick trip to Vegas.  Todd drove at Spring Mountain advance driving school of Corvettes.  We had a great time, ate great food, and even won on keno using a combination of ours and Grandma Claudia's numbers!  17, 35, 73, 77- all of them came up- turned $5 into $700!
